The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) is a nonprofit collaborative trade organization established by Sony in June 2003 that is responsible for defining interoperability guidelines to enable sharing of digital media between multimedia devices. Basically, through DLNA, you can easily stream media from PC to Xbox One. Below is the step-by-step instruction you may find useful.

 

Step 1 Check out your PC network settings and make sure your PC and the Xbox One are on the same network.

 

Step 2 Go to your Xbox One, click on "Settings". From there, you may hit on "Preferences" and make sure the "Play To" option is selected.

 

Step 3 Make sure you have added the Xbox One to the PC. To do this, you may go to your PC, move to "Control Panel", and click on "Add a Device" button under "Devices and Printers". After that, your Xbox One will appear in "Multimedia Devices" which means now your console will show up as an option to "Play To".

 

Step 4 Now you can start streaming content from PC to Xbox One. Simply go to your PC, find the video/song you want to watch on the Xbox One, right click on it and select "Play To" option, there you should be able to find the Xbox One among the list. Done.
